The study stay authorisation covers higher education, regulated training and exchange programmes, and since the 2022 reform it allows part-time work alongside your studies. Applied for at a consulate or, in many cases, from inside Spain, it is also the foundation that many longer-term Spanish routes are built on later.

Criminal record certificate (apostilled + sworn translation)
From countries of residence in the last 5 years; issued within 90 days.
Private health insurance policy
Full coverage in Spain without co-payments.
Proof of address / padrón registration
Proof of sufficient financial means
Admission letter from the educational institution
